The festive season is back on and it’s only fair to step up your style game and bring on some bling. From a full-fledged family get together to Diwali party at your friend’s place, there are endless reasons to get all decked up.
We all love new clothes and we cannot lie; but why invest loads of money on a new attire each time when you can reuse your old traditional pieces to create a different outfit. So, be unique this season – flaunt yourself in new avatar by mixing pre-owned heavy outfits to stand apart from the crowd. Read below on how I aced three different looks:
1) #Shirts = Desi Chic
Play up your easiest fusion game by pairing a solid silk/satin shirt with a heavy lehenga. I had this banarasi lehenga that I just wore once and was lying in my closet till I decided to experiment. I reused it by removing the gaudy choli and dupatta for a subtle Diwali look. It’s a style that I am crushing currently.

2) #Blingy dupattas = Easy Elegance
This Anarkali has been lying in my wardrobe since last year so to make it look a bit different I paired it with the jazziest dupatta I had in my wardrobe. This is my favorite dupatta that came with another set of lehenga. You can also pair your anarkalis or gowns with a heavy banarasi dupatta, a trend which is on this year.

3) #Cape coats = Modish Edgy
One fashion trend I see quite often on the runways but have personally never tried until recently is capes. Yes, it looks like a blazer, but what you think are the sleeves is actually a cape. A cape, whether it’s worn as a coat or a blazer, gives a touch of elegance to any outfit you have on. This is an evening GLAM look perfect for a Diwali party!
